Our Story
How Rocky Mountain Roll Off & Waste Got Rolling
Rocky Mountain Roll Off & Waste was born from a simple frustration: renting a dumpster in Colorado shouldn’t be complicated.
Too many companies in the Front Range treated dumpster rental like an afterthought – unclear pricing, vague delivery windows, and customer service that disappeared the moment a container hit the driveway. We saw an industry that had gotten comfortable doing the bare minimum and decided to build something better.
In 2014, we started with roll-off dumpsters. It’s the backbone of what we do and the service we know inside and out. From our base in Denver, we began delivering containers to homeowners tackling garage cleanouts, contractors managing job site debris, and small businesses clearing out old inventory. One truck, a handful of dumpsters, and a commitment to showing up when we said we would.
Word got around. Contractors started calling because their last provider no-showed on a job site. Homeowners told their neighbors. Property managers brought us on for ongoing commercial waste. That steady, referral-driven growth taught us something important: in this business, reliability isn’t a bonus – it’s everything.
Since then, we’ve completed more than 12,000 container deliveries across 15+ Front Range counties – and we still answer the phone the same way we did on day one.
Meet the Team
Jason Merrill, Founder & Owner. Jason has been hauling waste across Colorado since 2011, starting as a CDL driver before founding Rocky Mountain Roll Off & Waste in 2014. He holds a Colorado commercial driver’s license and carries working knowledge of CDPHE waste regulations and Denver Public Works permitting requirements. When contractors call in with a complex job, Jason’s team draws on that hands-on background to recommend the right setup – not just the next available container.
Growing With Colorado
As demand grew, so did our fleet and our services. What started with roll-off containers expanded into a full range of dumpster rental solutions across the state.
Today, we serve residential customers handling everything from home renovations and roof replacements to estate cleanouts and yard waste removal. We work with commercial clients managing construction projects, tenant turnovers, and ongoing waste needs. We provide heavy-duty containers for demolition jobs and concrete disposal, where weight limits and equipment requirements are a different game entirely. We support event organizers, festivals, and communities that need temporary waste management on a tight schedule. And when storms, floods, or unexpected disasters strike Colorado, we’re one of the first calls for emergency cleanup.
Our size options run from compact 10-yard containers for small residential jobs all the way up to 40-yard roll-offs for large-scale commercial and industrial projects. If you’re not sure what size fits your job, that’s exactly the kind of conversation we’re here for.
What Drives Us
We’re headquartered at 155 W 62nd Ave in Denver, and Colorado is more than our service area – it’s home. The mountains, the communities, the growth happening across the Front Range and beyond – we take pride in keeping this state clean and helping people manage their waste responsibly.
A few things have stayed constant since day one:
Transparent pricing. We quote what we charge and charge what we quote. No hidden fees, no surprise overages that show up after the fact.
Reliable scheduling. When we say a dumpster will be there Tuesday morning, it will be there Tuesday morning. Your project timeline matters, and we treat it that way.
Local knowledge. We know Colorado’s disposal regulations inside and out – including CDPHE guidelines on debris classification and hazardous material handling, Denver’s right-of-way permit requirements for street-placed containers, and Front Range landfill and transfer station requirements. That saves you time, money, and headaches, especially on jobs involving mixed debris, concrete, or materials that require special handling.
Right-sized solutions. We’d rather help you pick the right container for your job than upsell you on something bigger than you need. Getting the size and service type right from the start keeps your project on track and your costs where they should be.
